I can't stand winter. Not even the relatively mild winters of Virginia. So, I thought I'd convince the warden to try the snowbird thing once the last kid leaves the nest next year. She isn't in to it, but gave me the green light to give it a whirl. This year if I want...
I'm still in the thinking stage, but wanted to get some other opinions. If you were to head south, and keep the roof cleaning business going where ever you went for the winter, where would you go? (Within reason. The Bahamas sound good, but c'mon
Although I have family in FL, it's out of the question. It's too crowded with roof cleaning companies as it is (no offense).
I'm thinking Charleston SC or Savanna GA areas. Grab a few fly rods and the dog, and pack light. Maybe throw a scoot in the bed and hook up the boat of course.
Sure sounds good on paper. Thoughts?? Where would you go?
I am in the same mindset up here. So tired of the six months of winter in PA. I like the northeast corner of Tennessee near Kingsport, low cost of living and it borders North Carolina. I think the area in NOVA is a gold mine and I miss living there. Roof treatment in my area has only been a decent add on service, pest control is still my core business. I am going to load up the RV this late fall and make something happen south. Ant control is just as profitable as roof cleaning, bed bug control is the most universal service that is hot in all areas recession or not.

I've heard the Birmingham and Huntsville Alabama market are good ones to look into. Actually, if you could come to Florida and take a few back with you, it would be great!
