I been networking a while now with competition. Bill asked for both of us last year, in Tampa, can 2 roof cleaning companies network? Nobody had a "real" answer.
Well let me tell you, you can! It has benifitted Gutterdogs! You want your competition to do well, so you do too, if you are networking with them.
Check this out, today on an estimate 550. (silver spring) lady thought that was high, told me she was going to check out 2 other roof cleaners, I said I would recommend both of 'em! we hung out last weekend! lol!!! (dont know whos getting that one, or if she even does it?)
Since Tampa, the guys that went there. I'm noticing more networking.
Sounds and looks like you guys had a great time Mike! As far as networking goes Art O has been more then kind to me feeding me roof cleaning jobs,Art is keeping me busy. I am sending Art any other type of work I can. So yes, networking can work.
Absolutely, plus you educate the public/customers and stave off hacks from lowering market value.

As Pat's said, by trading services, both benefit. I've networked w/builders and masons I know to swap simple cleaning jobs for jobs where I inspect and really would benefit from a new roof and where theres cement work or asphalt work needed.
Thanks Mike, Phil, and others, for the excellent posts on this topic.
Just as for every household, there are Comcast, Verizon, Hughes, Antenna w/broadband streaming services -- so too there are choices for our work, and enough rooftops and cleaning opportunities to go around. Working together makes good sense.
