I was asked to quote this the other day. After looking at it I am not sure what type of roof this is. HO said he thinks it is clay tile. If that is the case I am assuming I clean it similar to the way I clean a tile roof.... Any suggestions?
*** I ended up washing this roof last year here in Mattoon, IL 61938 and here are the results.

It is hard to tell by the picture, but why not do this ? Do a test spot to see if the customer will be happy with the cleaning ? Some, if not most Asbestos Roofs do not clean very well, nor do some very very old tiles.
slate and asbestos are not the same thing. not sure if thats what was meant. Not all clay tile are barrel type. Looks like flat clay tile...
Also remember that slate is usually blue/gray with some reddish tiles. If the roof looks like all reddish, its prob flat clay. -- Edited by Maverick Contracting on Thursday 21st of July 2011 09:27:33 AM
