Yes, there is a very shady side to Thailand, but if you look past it, Thailand is a Beautiful country. Ive been to roughly 25-30 countries and Thailand ranks in my Top 3 favorites.  I had a very rich friend, in trouble with the IRS, take a million five to Bangok, where he still lives today, in luxury! He has beautiful girls (let's hope they are real) wait on him hand and feet, pretty ones too! He said he will never come back to USA (LOL, he can't)

As to your earlier point about your friend, while we were there, it only cost us $700 each for 2 weeks. That included hotels (nice ones too), travel from bangkok - Phuket - Chang Mai - Pataya, breakfast lunch and dinner, and a tour guide. Its so cheap there its rediculous. We had a giant lobster dinner, the tail had to have been 24" and it only cost $20 for both of us.

 My friend showed me actual pictures of the girls he had 'visiting' him, some were outright pretty!

Several had a lot of caucasian in them from VietNam war babies I guess ? One even had blue eyes !

My friend says Thailand is a beautiful place, but he did say it can be a shady place too ?

Well I'm married now but... when I was younger if it looked female and was hot and didn't have man parts so what. What you don't know won't hurt you. Bang it!!!! I think I have only done real women. If not..... Oh well. I had fun fun fun!
