For as while theres been a few different materials and suppliers and I just want to see what everyone settled in with.  I placed an order from Southside and I guess the whole order went South since I never recieved it or was charged on my credit card.  I just placed an order with Brainard for 2- 5 gal. pails of Ammonyx M for about $65 each plus shipping.  Whats better?  Cheaper?  I would actually like to try the Greenwash because I have a feeling it works well.  Has anyone used it?

Should have called Southside back. His "Talon" is better than Ammonyx L or M and it only $53.00 for 5 gal, plus shipping. Sometimes orders do get lost, or never received.

Ed- I'm using the BC-MAO from Brainerd. I like it better than the Lo and M. I never tried the Talon yet.

Ed, I do use the Talon and it works well. Just very $$$ for me to get shipped to Florida. I have heard of Bruce and a few others using a very similar product that they like ( not sure of the name) from brinard I believe. I have used the green wash a few times from samples that AC had given me and it works great. It also is a bit $$. Robert Hinderliter told me he could have a 55 shipped to my shop for 1199.00 which is high in my opinion when I get a 55 of am L from Lori for less then half. We ran out last week and I went to sames and got 1 gallon dawn jugs for 9.99 each and my guys loved the sent and blue color....

Thanks Gary, Barry, and Ryan. Im using the same BC-MAO from Brainard but I always thought that was the Ammonyx. Its thick like the M. Been busy here and wasnt sure if there was any new hot items on the market.

Something got LOST here guys, better read this thread and see ?

Pay attention to the differences between Ammonyx and Myrastamine ?

It takes LESS Myrastamine to add cling(thickness) to your roof cleaning mix.

If I were a distributor engaged in the selling of surfactants to roof cleaners, Myrastamine is what I would sell.

Chris, where are you getting yours from if Lori doesn't have it anymore?

I ordered a 55gal drum from Don/Brainerd and a bag of sodium hydroxide to the tune of $760.00. Theres some sort of additional $25 hazmat fee added in for the hydroxide.

Ok my roof cleaning family, here is where to buy the good stuff! It is called Macat Ao14 (Myrastamine) and it costs 688.50 for a 55 gallon drum (about 12 bucks a gallon) plus freight. It ships out Of Georgia, for us.

Call 1 800 362 1855 to order, and they MAY even send you a sample!

Good thread! Same questions! How do I get up with Brainard? I love the myristamine! I've already bought dish soap to back up the BS Laurimine.

Mike it sound like Chris T got the hookup. I just received my drum of ammox. This is a no issue for me probably until next year. I can only hope I go through 55 gallons

No worries ED! The whole Amine Oxide family of surfactants are all good.  Myrastamine does not "blow away" Ammonyx, it's just a little better. IMHO, with a drum of Ammonyx, it puts you far ahead performance and money wise from those just using Dish Soap.

The entire Amine Oxide family are not ony powerful surfactants, but they are "pure" and not watered down as the surfactants found in over the counter products.

We find our customers are excited to see all the bubbles and foam coming off their roofs when it rains!

They also appreciate the streak free windows too!

I know SH has a short life. Roughly how long can you hold on to an amine oxide surfactant?

Depends on what you are using, and/or trying to do.
