In business here since 1989 and with years of experience , it became clear to me that while pressure washing roofs made them look clean, damage was occuring on the roofs. Pressure cleanening machines can only be turned down so far and still accomplish roof cleaning and any amount of pressure, even as low a setting as 500 psi { 3000 to 4000 is what most pressure cleaning contractors use } will still remove around 15-20% of the granules that make up the color and protection of your shingle roof per cleaning.
Ugly black algae, left in place on the roof, eats around those granules and the rain removes them. Still eventually destroying the roof and spoiling it's appearance and resale value. With tile roofs, pressure removes the glazing many tile roofs come with. Pressure also blows pieces of cement that hold the ridgecaps in place off into space! If your tile roof is painted, pressure will blow portions of paint off all over the roof, leaving it in need of an expensive paint job!
So, what to do?
In the mid 1990's I started developing a system to clean roofs without using pressure.
Now these roof cleaning systems are available for purchase commercially. Some pump the roof cleaning solution faster than I can safely control it and some pump so little, it dries up before it cleans. I am in the middle and pleased with my results with my 5 gallon per minute pumps. I want the cleaning solution to remain on the roof, not to run off the roof or into the gutters.
In my attached website, you can read how a Roofing Manufacturers Association and a few roofing manufacturers individually say to clean roofs. That is the only method I use. So your warranty will not be voided.
IF YOUR INTEREST IS IN HAVING A ROOF CLEANED, YOU CAN GO DIRECTLY TO MY WEBSITE AND READ HOW THE ROOFING MANUFACTURERS SAY ROOFING IS TO BE CLEANED. THAT'S THE METHOD WE USE. Click on MANUFACTURER SPECIFICS- http://www.bergmanpressurewashing.com/

Cleaning for Concrete Driveways, Walkways and Sidewalks
Cleaning concrete is one of the tasks that can change your "Curb Appeal" quite literally! Concrete is very porous which allows dirt and other debris to bed deep into the concrete, resulting in a situation where high powered commercial pressure washing machines, as well as professional concrete cleaning machines are the only sure means of removal.
Pool Decks & Screened Enclosures
Pool areas can definitely be safely and effectively cleaned. Not only can the nasty cobwebs and bug debris be cleaned from the nylon mesh, but also the green & black mildew / fungus and algae can be removed from the metal framework as well.
Our father and son "ONLY" business, licensed and insured to clean in Charlotte and Sarasota County Florida, accomplis this cleaning task with low to medium pressure by using special "long reach" wands, when needed, along with pressure adjusting valves and tips. Carefully "water sweeping" the mesh clean of debris after using a mild chemical solution to dissolve the organic mold and algae staining right off the metal frame's surface. It's as safe and easy as that!
Roof Cleaning
Undoubtedly, the roof is the most expensive portion of your home! WARNING! Roofing should not be cleaned with the use of a pressure washer! The roofing manufacturers themselves have given specific instructions on their websites, on how to properly clean their roofing materials and all those I have found links to, say one thing in common. "DO NOT PRESSURE WASH ROOFING" Read directly from a number of manufacturer links here on our website. You may be shocked, if you have allowed anyone to use a pressure washer on your roof in the past!
