Did a roof yesterday with the green wash. It was a 10/12 pitch, mostly black streaks, with a little lichen on it. I mixed it up at 30% SH, and the green wash at 2 ounces per 5 gallons. Nothing else added to it. It cleaned the black streaks off very good. Even did a good job on the lichen. I did not pretreat the lichen on this one. Had a little more run-off with this mix than I am used too. But, overall, it seemed to work pretty good. I will try it on a few more roofs and see what happens.
Do you think the green wash was an improvement to the mix? I'm thinking about trying it. If its a big difference, and less touchups, and cost effective... It would be worth including it in the mix.
It saved a little on the SH. I usually mix stronger, and I did not have to add anything else to it. I was happy with the way it worked, but not with the runoff. I am going to do a couple more roofs this week with it, see if maybe I mix the green wash a little more than they say, it will cling better. I have a feeling the green wash mixed with the CH had a different reaction that made it stick so well.
