Just wondering if there is something I am not doing. I have a basic website. I have local paper advertising. I have a FB Fan Page and a local landing page with the Houston Chronicle. I also throw rocks with my card.
Now I know it will take sometime to get more and more calls, however, all I have had in the last couple of weeks are tire kickers. I dont mind those calls, as I know they will eventually lead to sale. I just want to know if there something else I should be trying to get more call and or sales.
2 things....I don't find you anywhere online, which means you need to work on your SEO. Also how many rock flyers have you thrown? What's your truck look like? How's your local marketing (around the houses you're already cleaning)?
How are you searching for me online? I haven't thrown in a few weeks. My truck is clean with no adverts on it yet. I have my area adverts through local community magazine. I am considering putting company name and logo on truck.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated Scott!
To give you an example I just searched "Roof Cleaning Cypress, TX." on google and stopped looking for your site after the first 7 pages. That's your "local" market and where your located so in all reality you should be somewhere at the top of page 1 given there isn't really any existing roof cleaning companies that are coming up. Regarding the Cronicle, take my advice and don't waste your time. I've had FULL page ads in there for the roofing company (not roof cleaning) and they've got the worst responses out of any other advertising medium I've been part of.
I'm with Scott and I've seen first hand how well the rock flyers work for him. Go that route! Drive around your area neighborhood and throw out a few hundred and see if that works? It isn't expensive so worst case scenario you don't get anything other than a few phone calls consider it practice on your sales technique.

Joe, I'll try to remember and send you a breakdown of where we get calls and how many from each source. We get calls from about 15 different sources. So let's say 30 calls come in in a week. On average that's only 2 calls per source. However, at this point if I guessed off the top of ,y head I'd say 30-50% are coming from rock flyers, so that leaves 1 or less from each source. These are made up numbers and I don't know the exact ones off the top of my head, but it's an idea.
Leads have to come from MANY sources. We throw 5000 flyers a month. It's all about repitition, you gotta hit them over and over and over and over again.
Also change your URL in your signature on here. Instead of it being the website www.offthetoproofcleaning.com change it to Roof Cleaning Cypress, TX. And the imbed your URL in that phrase. That'll help maximize the SEO that this board gives you as well.
All of the "tire kickers" would get a free demo to see if you could actually clean their roof. Once people have a clean spot on their roof they are more apt to get the whole roof cleaned.
