For the customer looking for quality work, this could seal the deal. For the homeowner that only cares about price and is okay with lesser quality, not so much.

I've lost $1,000.00 jobs in rich neighborhoods because someone was $50.00 cheaper. Some people just want the lowest price. We are like that too. We're always looking for the cheapest price when buying our equipment or getting printing done.

I go for low prices too, but only if nothing comes along with it. Obviously if I ONLY need the product and not the service and the product is cheaper one place, then I will go the cheaper route.

When it comes to someone working on my house, if someone screws up, it could cost me a bundle.

Ive been saying this to guys for years! I can honestly say that I have had to make a conscious effort to stop "price shopping" I can't get bent over potential customers doing the same thing I do. There are exceptions of course to everything.

Scott, A lot of times i would. That one day I had a bug up my butt and was sticking to my guns to see what would happen. It was only $50.00 and I was in a really nice neighborhood and I thought she was bluffing. I was wrong.

Oh yea, been there before. I thought you meant it was a regular thing that you lost out over $50. So many people are like "I never go down even $1, my price is my price". And thats a mistake.

I wouldn't price match if my life depended on it! Too many people are doing roofs for 50% less than our quote. Those guys probably put in some serious hours and the sad thing is, someone else is probably doing half the volume and charging accordingly and still making more than these guys charging bottom dollar for cleaning.

I've been qoteing $400- $475 hmo's have called back and siad they got prices of $275-$350 but they felt more comfertable useing me. So ill doit as long as they tell me who it was. I dont turn down any job! If they say i can only afford $300 ill doit cause its money!! pride does not pay bills! Not only that the mci factor comes in= friends $ family... think about it, you get your price on 2- get beat on 3 who cares
$150 A BATCH = 4-5 ROOFS!! #1-$450 #2-$400 #3-$275 #4-$325 #5-$350 THE GROSS FOR THE DAY = $1800

THATS A GOOD DAY AND THE LOW BALLER DID NOT GET THE JOB!! he gets frustrated and is out of biz in a month so i say take the job you are a pro!! Take the jerk off that copys you and put him out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
