Did anyone catch the nightly news on ABC Tuesday night ?  They had an investigation on how bad the zinc is in fixodent. They talked about how having an excissive amount of zinc is very unhealthy. I think with a little research, we could have a better answer for the people that ask if they should just install the zinc strips to keep their roof clean.

The post I did a few weeks ago about GAF addresses that copper is better than zinc but will not completely solve the problem. I remember seeing pictures here somewhere of a house with copper strips that clearly, didn't work.

Anything and everything is unhealthy if it is used in excess. Even drinking to much water can kill you.

That is very interesting about the zinc strips. A home owner that I approached at the end of the season was telling me that a co. approached him about installing these strips. I told him that I didn't install these strips because what I read about them in the threads didn't provide good results. This is a high end house and has many high peeks and valleys. He didn't decide what to do yet. He thinks that the strips will cure his streaks forever. I am going to re approach him next month. Rode past his house last week, the top of his house now has green likens
