Needing a few ideas!

As you know I am the new Sales Representative for the company Floridawash. One of the tasks that I have is to come out with a standard sales pitch to get our companies name out there, and gather up new customers. However, I am stuck! I have been going through forums on this website and searching the internet for ideas but it has lead me nowhere. If anyone has has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome aboard,

Alot of great roof cleaning companies from all over the world represented here.

A great start to selling a product or service is to know everything there is to know about it, so your in the right place. Many companies on here may be wary of posting that kind of information on here in fear of there local lurkers.

My best advise besides education is going into every project with your customers best interest in mind. Listen to what they want and educate them on what the best method of roof cleaning is.

I'm not certain what all services the company you work for provides but gutter cleaning and house washes both go hand and hand in our line of work. My company also provides window cleaning which is icing on the cake for most people. Sell the whole package is what I'm trying to say here.

Keep in mind too that your selling what most people consider a luxury service. That means in my book that informing them the zillion reasons why they should leave there project in the hands of us professionals rather them doing it themselves or hiring a neighbor kid.

Good luck out there and make sure your boss offers some bonuses for you when you start making some good sales!!!

Script:

You: Dear Sir or Mam, I happened to be in your neighborhood and noticed you have a potentially lethal form of cyanobacteria rapidly attacking your roof! (say with emphasis and sincerity)

Customers: What the hell are you talking about?

You: That black streaking on your roof is actually a strain of bacteria which left untreated can potentially be lethal to your roof.

If you or your loved ones had a strain of rapidly spreading bacteria you'd immediately go to the doctor right?

Customer: Yeah of course...........

You: Then why wouldn't you want to immediately treat one of the largest investments on your home and the main component that keeps you and your family safe and dry?

Customer: When can you start?

I offer very good bonuses..but Krystal has a lot of homework and practice yet to come. She is very intelligent and I am sure she will have no issues, she is just nervous.
She is working on the history of roof cleaning which involves AC and Chris and of course RCIA. This will enable her to answer any question's about the history of safe roof cleaning.
Her next step is "what's up there" and "how did it get there" Once she has done her homework, she has to sell ME and some other hard headed customers.....biggrin
I am working on a better pricing structure so there are no questions, how much for this? what about cleaning this? Senior discounts?
This is (I hope) just the beginning of Krystal at Floridawash..

And of course, she will learn HOW to safely clean a roof as well. She will SELL, SELL, SELL, and know how to clean them as well. After all, if she can maintain F-15 for our country, she can clean any roof!

I am very proud to have her aboard!

 NO EXCUSES, JUST RESULTS!

I think Krystal could sell Nuclear waste as a water treatment, so the white suit should'nt be an issue! LOL

Sales pitches are unique to every sales person. You will find whatever you are comfortable with over time. The best advice I can give you is to learn as much as possible about this profession and know your products and services. Be able to answer any question accurately and confidently. Confidence goes a long way in building credibility! Confidence, not arrogance!

People want to know that they hired a professional in the field and your education will go a long way to "making you a professional".

I often use a golf analogy in sales..... I may not be able to hit a golf ball to save my life, but if I look the part, look professional (dress the part and know the terminology inside and out) and act professional, people will automatically assume I am professional. Learn the trade and the sales will come naturally. I know that is a very simplified answer, but it will go a long way with your customers and will buy you some time to learn a lot of other professional sales tactics.

I tell my sales guys "No one wants to be sold, but everyone wants to be helped" As long as you are sincere and believe in the product or service you are offering the sales will come.
