Travis, I know your excited but you need to slow down.  I will answer this one question for you.  Any product that you can buy off the shelf that says it won't hurt plants or your landscaping is worthless.  The stuff that is growing on roofs are living things and you must kill them.  Moss is a plant.

Tried the biodegradable cleaners that you spray on and they are worthless.  Might as well give me your money and spray water on your roof.
