I finally got a chance to hook up the new flojet. Heres the first of the pictures. Im going to shoot a video demo of it as well. But I wanted you guys to see how much BIGGER this pump is than the Fatboy. (FYI...The fatboy and small flojet both pump at almost 100%)

I got it hooked up at about 10 last night and shot almost 50 ft shooting at about a 6/12-8/12 angle. Measured with a tape. Cant wait to get the video.

The reason its so big is because its got an internal bypass built in. That means you can use ANY size tips or hose without the pump pulsating on and off and risking a relay failure. I put small pressure washing tips on it and it ran fine.

So far we have cleaned 8 apartment buildings and the pump has been awesome. The only issue we've had is on 2 mornings it wouldn't self prime. Once we got it primed, it worked all day. Also, I'm not rinsing. I've put almost 800 gallons of love through it so far.

We'll see how it holds up.

I just spoke with Bob......very nice guy. He says although it has some better features then the fatboy esp. with the relay,it shoots pretty much the same distance. He also said it's about $260 bucks.I have about two months left up here,I may look into one over the winter.

That's what I'm wondering too.  That alone makes it worth the extra buck.  Pump should last a quite a bit longer too.

Hey Scott, do you think the priming issue is going to be a real hassle?

Does the bypass mean that it runs constantly?

@ kory - different pump

@ grizz - I think the priming issue is just because the pump is mounted about halfway up the tank so it's trying to suck upward.

It does not run constantly but it runs for about 3 seconds every 5 minutes or so.

The flojet air pump looks a lot smaller and lighter than that.

So, out of 5 minutes the pump is only spinning for about 3 seconds?  I don't understand.
