Hi Bruce. WOW! You got your certification fast - congratulations!
You asked about thumbnails (in lieu of larger pics in the text area I presume?) Try this:
Once you've typed up your subject and message for your post, place a check mark beside the "attach file" option. Then -
In the 'File Upload' section below that, click on 'choose file' for your first file selection. You then browse/navigate to where your desired file is stored and click 'open' which selects it.
If you have additional images to add, repeat the same process for files or images 2 through X.
Once that is done, then select 'upload file(s)' at the bottom. Once the files are uploaded then -
select 'submit post', and they'll be thumbnailed in your post.
However, if you click on "insert" beside the file name BEFORE submitting, then the pics appear larger and in the text section.

I was wondering how everybody was getting those large pictures that was stretching the threads

Thanks guys. I hit the insert button and got the large pictures in my post. Now when I post pictures I'll follow the advice of both.
Thanks again.
Most of the time that large pictures are inserted, they cause the forum to stretch and nothiing fits right. Then Chris, myself or some other moderator has to go into your post and re-size them back down. please DON"T place large pictures on here. Thanks

Sorry. Didn't realize that would happen. Looked for a thread telling me how to insert on the post and didn't find anything. Until I have it figured out for sure I just won't post any.
i'm trying to inseri pics of my new rig in a post but unable to upload pics even just one.
When I hit upload a black box comes up on the upper left of my screen that says uploading with a icon just spinning. Trying to upload pics about 1.6 mb ea. I've tried to do single pics as well as multiple and the same thing happens.
I was wrong, I was looking at the photos on photobucket where they are smaller in file size. They all were indeed over the 2 mb on my PC. How can they be made smaller so I can upload as a thumbnail? Just resize them?
I batch process mine with Photoshop elements. If you use outlook you can right mouse on the ones you want to make smaller then click send to mail recipient and it will make them smaller for you.
