Why not? IMHO If you start with the most basic of things and move your way up you will be a better roof cleaner. You will understand why one thing is better than another and run into problems that help you learn new things. You may also appreciate the better things as you go along and see what works for you as well as predetermine what is and what isn't a hassle for you and how you roll.

Here's a look at my plumbing..I use 1" pvc...but a much different pump set up than you have.  I like 3/4 HP electric booster pumps. Strong enough for a softwash, gentle enough for a roof.

Next time I rebuild, I will go with flex PVC, however. Hard, bumpy roads are very rough on my set-up and cause a lot of busted pipes.  But, back to the subject at hand, I like having two tanks plumbed together, one for a mild 5%-10% Softwash solution and one for a roof mix.....or one for a mix and one for a water....whatever the job calls for. The nice part of having two tanks plumbed together is the ease of filling, the ease of mixing, and the ease of access.

Ray,
How do those tanks hold up for you? I have some, but have been hesitant to consider using them because of the ball vaulve. please let me know how they've worked out for you.

I got 10 months out of one...and the other is still going strong.  Fitting is good, just removed the value & replaced it with an external ball valve. Pretty easy fix, took 30 minutes.  I love the totes!

I thought up this little configuration and even got all the PVC parts to put it together. Then I got a little advice from Lori's dad over at PWP and decided to scrap it. Just going with a single feeder line that I move from tank to tank. Keeping it simple with no ball valves or PVC joints to leek or let air in the line.

Do well points come in all different sizes? I am getting a new tank today and I'd like to just drop the hose into whatever tank I am pulling from. I'm still learning how to work on my equipment, and since I am a computer nerd, it hasn't been the easiest transition!
