Hi Ed,

I had to replace one today myself.  Although I can't (yet) speak to how long it'll last, I bought a 3 gallon Gilmour Pro from HD.  The key selling point for me was the Viton seals or self proclaimed "generic equivalent' seals.  The poly wand is telescopic, although it feels a bit cheap/flimsy in hand.

Time will tell I guess.

Ed, I just bought this one from Lowe's today 3gal with viton seals, Lowe's said if I have 30 days to be happy or bring back. 37.00 bucks. oh the reason I bought this one is because I notices in prevous threads that other suggested this one!

Ed did you notice that I won the All-Flo package? everything I need except the air compressor.

Mark I just bought this one for demos or little touch ups. I have owned a dozen of pack packs I will not ever use them again I'm tired of chems leaking out of the top and dripping down my shoulder and back. and they don't last either.

I started using my All-Flo for everything, and when I'm done I blow the chems out of the line to try to recover and not waste, and then I rinse with water.

Congratulatins Clyde! Besides myself, youre a guy who really deserves to win the prize! As for pump sprayers, theyre all crap. Viton or no Viton, etc. I've tried em all and rinsed em out and nurtured like a baby. I made a 12v sprayer inside a Homer box for doing larger work like spraying larger cement areas or deck stripping. But sometimes you just need a little spot and thats when a pump sprayer is clutch.

I bought the same pump and changed out the wand with one I bought online.  When the pump goes, I'll keep the wand and switch it out.

whats wrong with keeping the receipt and returning it if you were to have a problem? Lowe's gives you 30 days.

Clyde your absloutely right about taking back the pump. I still would like to find a pump that I didnt have to take back when it crapped out. As for the guys on the bench, theyre good friends of mine in NJ. From left to right Bill W the union lawyer from NYC, myself, Wyatt P the Federal smoke jumper, and Ed W the master carpenter. That pic was taken in January at a beach in Long Branch where Bill and Wyatt took a brave swim in the frigid water.

That is the same kind that I get from Lowe's. I get from 2 to 4 months out of them with a strong degreaser but the bleach will mess them up quicker but they will last longer than the regular kind.

I wish they made better pump up sprayers that would handle the bleach so I could just keep bleach in one but I have tried a lot of brands, even the kind at HD that say that they will work with bleach but they are talking about the household stuff, not what we use.

At lowe's they sell the gun/wand that goes on the Gilmour Pro for about $15.00

A lot of times the problem with pump up sprayers is the gun goes out first, at least in my experience so I change out the gun with a better gun like the Gilmour or the one from Northern Tools for about the same price.

I have 2 of the Gilmour Pro pump up sprayers that the pumps went out but the guns are still good. I called the company since it is past the 30 and 90 days since I bought the sprayers and the company told me to take pictures of the sprayers and mail the pictures to them and they would send me a seal kit or pump. Those sprayers have limited lifetime warranties.

I get the base model from Lowes. 2 gallon unit is 14.00. I've had two for a year now. One for degreaser and one for an acid based wheel cleaner. I've got another that I've used with bleach for the last 4 months. Still kicking. Best I've found to date.
