What power should utility pump have
Permalink

Hey Folks! I am also a newbie and excited to be a part of this great site! I have been looking around for a pump and tank to hold the chemicals. Can you tell me what power the 12 volt pump needs to be and what size should the tank be to do an average sized home? Harbor freight has this one. Will it work? Also, is it possible to use a trigger sprayer to stop spraying or will it damage the pump or blow the hose? Thanks ahead of time!    Mike

Mike, welcome......

Now read, read, and read some more, do searches on pumps, equipment, etc... this site will give you all the info you need.

That 12V pump needs..12Volts, I think it would work as a transfer pump.

Lori from PWP has everything you need to get started, search her as well on this site.

Great luck to you.

Just word to the wise though bro I wouldn't buy that pump you listed up there. You do your searching and you will learn what will be best for your budget.

That pump will not work. I had one of those from lowes and it would not even spray out of a 50 ft hose with a 12ft climb. They have a rubber gear that allows back pressure to come back through the pump. Those are made for transfering water over flat surfaces .

And aparrently not for long either, did you see the imitation stainless on that thing. You couldn't buy that much stainless steel for 39 dollars.

Too bad I gave mine away in a box of junk or I could take pics.  Mine was zinc plated steel.
