Fat Boy pump relay burn out - Any solutions?

Hi, my son has had a Fatboy for about a month and it now runs continously - no demand shut off. Is that a relay problem?
I've read here that relay burnout is common on the FatBoy?
I also read about using an automotive relay. Anyone got instructions to hook an automotive relay up? We are mechanically inclined, but not electricly!
Thanks!
Chuck

If the relay went out it wouldn't run at all. Sounds to me like the pressure switch went out.

Yes it would larry. The very first problem I had with it, the relay went out and it kept pumping and blew a hole right in my poly hose.

Yes kit sounds like the relay to me. Get a relay for a chevy alternator and just hook it up just like the one it has now. Remember to connect the 2 prongs that have the jumper wire.

We order the one from a 99 camaro Z28. The only reason is because that was what we tried right way becaue we had one on hand, and it worked for a long time.
