Hey guys...I got an call today to clean rust stains off of a roof. I am going to use OX but I have no idea what to charge for something like this.

Is there a certain price that I should be charging for this service? By the stain, to go out, etc?

I want to be fair to the customer and myself.

Your imput would be greatly appreciated!

I typically add $50-100 to the overall price, depending naturally, on the severity.

For the Rust stain that I took off the roof it was a Ben Franklin premium. It is starting to pay dividends. Use the search and look for my Rust stain, covered 1 quarter on the corner of a house. Received great info from the pro's on this site, I don't leave home without their knowledge in my portfolio.

This is the formula below that Larry, from All Surface in Largo Sent me to use, my only change was a pump sprayer vs. the downstream, felt I had more control. After the stain was gone went on to clean the roof.

Fred, the OX will work on that Sulfur Rust stain. You may even want to mix up a batch in a 5gal bucket and down stream it. (providing you have a pressure washer). I would go 1 to 1.5lbs of OX to 5gals water. As soon as the Rust disappears I would rinse it off with fresh water to prevent it from leaving a huge white area on the Shingle Roof. This mix will also work perfectly for the stains on the outside of the house as well.
