There has to be a pulley system that somebody uses.....carrying it up the ladder does'nt seem like the best way......

Yes, just carry it up the ladder,...no special rigging needed. But If you're not comfortable doing it,.... then don't do it.

I just drag it around with me, however you could make a hook on the wand like with a coat hanger and hook the wand on your belt. hmm

I have guys and my self too cary hand held leaf blowers along with hammers drills up ladders, all at the same time. It is a lil difficult to carry up 40 feet of gutter no hands on the ladder, Ive done that too, many times! I aint running up the ladder. one step at a time with the gutter. Could be $150.00 bucks you carying up there, lol! Drop it and its 150 out my pocket, lol!

If you dont feel comfortable tie a rope to the hose and pull it up after you at the gutter line. Push for more everytime till you get comfortable. I fell 5 stories in '86. So gettin used to heights has always been a issue. Always push for more.

I like to grab the back of the ladder and toss my feet on the front and slide, but you might want to master climbing down with a hose using the rungs first. wink

Lol, I came up with another thought. Hire an employee with roofing experience and let him use the ladder

you could tie a small rope to it, then once topside pull it to you.

Or Bear Grrills style and hold it in your teeth......roof clean, teeth clean!

The rope thing taste better

You could loop it 3 times around you shoulder and go up.  Then hang it on the top of the lader when you get up there. Don't forget to put your safty belt on while spraying. When its time to come down. Just jump!

If you spray your love at the ground in front of the ladder, the force of the love coming out should propel you to the top of the ladder. Just be sure to water down that area when you are done. Do this in reverse to get down.

Sorry, had to jump on the bandwagon.

Better yet, I have been pricing out these units to clean roofs with save time and money. Has anyone tried one of these? Does Lori sell them?

There's been a couple of roofs where we've climbed up, dropped twine over and had ground guy tie the nozze off , then hoisted the hose up that way, but 99% of the time we just climb it.

Hello all, newbie here. Thanks for a wealth of knowledge not available anywhere else on this planet.  FYI here's how I get the ball valve or wand to the top of the ladder:

-Lay ladder on ground in position to be tipped up against  building-
-Use rope, velcro, bungee, or whatever to fasten wand or ball valve to top rung-
-Lay hose along side of ladder all the way to base of ladder-
-Stand ladder up into position and wand or ball valve will be at top of ladder.-
-Both hands are free to climb ladder.-

Hope this helps. good luck!

HARD HATS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
