Can I still get certified?

I have been part of this site since speaking to Chris back in November 09. Since then I have researched until my eyes bleed. I try not to ask any stupid questions without first utilizing the search bar.
BUT, i have a stupid question. I am approaching my 100 posting required to obtain certification, I am waiting on a property to pay where I surface cleaned....when that happens I want to donated to this site as well for getting me the knowledge I need......

Here is the question, I have not even landed my first roof besides my own and family. Do i have a chance in hell of passing the "TEST"?

A lil nervous......Dwayne

No, not until you have some roofs under you belt, and roof cleaning equipment.
As soon as you have those, contact me for the test!

Dwayne, i think I speak on behalf of everyone here when i say this: Being a Certified Roof Cleaner is not about how many posts someone has, or how much money anyone donates to the forum. That is exactly where people became suspicious, if you will, of the "certification process". 100 posts does not make someone a certified roof cleaner. 100 substantive posts, key word SUBSTANTIVE, makes someone ELIGIBLE to take the verbal test. So, that's one aspect of the "shameless promotion" I referred to in another thread. When someone posts, and posts, and posts, day in and day out, just to get link juice and the word "certified" beside their name, that robs credibility from an organization that stands firm on what roof cleaning is all about.

Dwayne, do not think for one second that this post is aimed at you; it is not. I just wanted to clarify for future reference. There is at least one person I know here, or that used to be here, that has the word "certified" beside his name both here and "there", and wouldn't know his elbows from his butthole when it comes to roof cleaning, because he has only cleaned about 10 roofs. HE was a major source of skepticism from outside contractors who knew of him. I know this because I spoke, and still speak with them, on a regular basis. In essence, spamming the board doesn't make anyone a roof cleaner. It only makes them a roof cleaning wanna-be, and a spammer.

I understand. I have every intention to do what is needed. I did not or will not take any post to heart, this is the reason I ask the questions that i do. Hopefully everything goes as planned and I will be contacting Chis this spring.

As far as the 100 post, and the donation is concerned, it was part of the requrements on the home page. It said nothing about having roofs under my belt etc. etc. and this is the reason I made the post I did. Now I have a clear understanding and I thank you both for your replies.

I am on my way to research "shameless promotion" to investigate that a lil further.

Thanks Chris & Kevin!
