How much would you charge to clean 7 miles of PVC white fencing both sides. It`s on a horse farm here in Kentucky. It is dirty & has algae spots. If it was .10 cents a running ft. that would be $3600.00. What do you think. Thanks Kipp

That is power washing! PVC would be much easer!

Your pricing sounds pretty good, or if you have an idea of the time it will take charging an hourly price may be good as well. Or even a per day rate. Remember to use a small amount of sh 1-3 gal per 50 gal water to not kill the grass. A pw will rinse it faster than a hose. Good luck on the bid, I hope you win. Also I would shoot for a one time per year or every other year contract on that one.

Thats alot of fence. Just a quick question, you said it has huge algae spots, is that all that is on this PVC fence? I've done PVC fences before that were stained with red clay from rain splash. That will take something like oxalic, just keep it in mind and not focus on the algae and mold problem only. You could possibly be two stepping this type of job, at parts of it.

I'd personally use more of a house wash mix here, Not sure of the condition of this fence but TSP used on a PVC fence could and will leave residual dull looking spots if not rinsed properly. May not matter on 7 miles of fencing,...just something to keep in mind though.

Ok just remember last year we did a PVC fence about 200 yards long! It didnt take that long to do it about an hour! We just down stream the bleach and then rinsed and it turned out great!

Hope that helps you out!

I love washing vinyl, it always turns out great.

The $0.10 per linear foot is a good price per side, remember that you will have to fill up water and mix many, many, many, many times with a lot of hose dragging and then rinsing.

Good luck.

I have cleaned a few vinyl fences, just sprayed em with watered down chemical from our tanks using the roof cleaning pumps.
Never even had to rinse em, they were sparkling clean when we left.
They just had green mildew on them, no dirt to speak of.

So, did you get the pvc fence job?

If so, how long did it take?

How many gallons of love did you end up using?

Honestly, if you can time it right, say just before a rain, you really wouldn't need to worry about rinsing all them much!

I just did a small PVC fence for an APT complex. on the other side of the fence I had several neighbors park, and I couldn't rinse after the fence was sauced. We had rain the next day, and the fence was PERFECT.

I was amazed.

Wow Thats a big job. Similar story we did a horse farm fence inside and out almost a mile worth of fence. The difference was some of the fence had a lot of mud caked up in certain spots. It took longer then expected. We ran the the power washer first followed by some house strength love. It turned out awesome but it was almost like 2 jobs in 1. Good luck

Thats cool. Id love to clean 7 miles of fence. Just roll the truck right along.

We washed about 600 yds (i think) of privacy fence for an Hoa last spring. It was one of those with the 1Xs interwoven between the post (vinyl) It was an easy job.
Cool thing is earlier today I was trying to rustle up work so I called the president. Before I could even ask he told me to get back by there and wash it again. If they were all that easy!

Let us know how that one goes. Weve got a few horse farms around Hot Springs that I ought to target.
