Paul, here's my 2 cents: First off, shrink the star. it commands attention, but too much attention. You want the customer to notice the "roof cleaning", not the star. The blue spray could go as well, or be redone. The font should absolutely, positively NOT have that color fade. Make it all black. If you want a color fade, keep it on the roof. Even rookie graphic designers will tell you not to color fade the primary font(s).
I think the star is a good effect...just a little smaller. I know your trying to get the "squeaky clean" appearance...maybe smaller and move it up a bit?
I think it looks good...definently think you should shrink the star and move it up to the right though and possibly remove the blue starburst. I also like the tagline is pretty generic and doesnt set you apart from the rest.
Definetly smaller on the star. Maybe change the spray to a more realistic pattern or better color or eliminate. Just trying to picture it as a business card, don't want to use up to much space,
I would take out the water spray, it takes my attention away from the roof and the name of the company, it might do the same to others out there.
People might not know what it is and try to figure it out instead of focusing their attention to the roof and name of the company and think about that.
