Panthers cut Jake Delhomme and lose Julius Peppers as he signs with the Chicago Bears.

Peppers is going to almost impossible to replace, and huge loss for Carolina.

Apparently he wasn't happy making a deal signing a contract extension with the Panthers, and was all smiles when going with the Bears.

The franchise tag of $20 million was too high for general manager Hurney to keep him.

Panthers better off w/o Jake, but Tampa will sleep easier w/o Julius Peppers to worry about anymore biggrin
