Looks to me like the HO dumped a bucket of something on there to try to clean it...

I used to leave flyers till blue in the face, foud it much easier to just toss chlorine filled water ballons at night, and go back next day, write orders!

Here is my second guess...a veteran roof cleaner was up there installing Xmas lighting and found himself in dire need to take a pizz. Because he has cleaned so many roofs over the years, he can actually pizz SH?

No Pat, since you also do window cleaning, I thought everyone would get it.
The upstairs windows were cleaned by a window cleaner who either intentionally, or unintentionally spliied amonia from his bucket onto the roof!
The amonia ran down, killing the young algae.
The roof got dirty around the streaks of spilled amonia!

I haven't had that happen to me but then I don't use ammonia. I still like the pelican idea though. That thing would have to be the size of a pterodactyl. LOL

Customer wanted only 1 side sprayed. Applicator shot roof from the ground or gutter line allowing overspray to hit other side.
(Actually a good selling technique) biggrin

Thanks for the quiz. It was both helpful, interesting, and fun. Since we are new to the business it would have been helpful to see the roof. It helps to learn from others with this type of experience.
