I just picked up 2 older, used Wilden M1 1/2 inch Poly Air Diapraghm pumps today locally. Bought em at an auction, cheap. I use Yamada Kynar pumps, and yes, they FAIL too, LOL ALL pumps eventually fail for roof cleaning use These pumps are different from MOST Poly pumps. They are PURE Poly, NOT glass filled Poly! Poly has decent chem resistance, not quite as good as Kynar, but you MUST be careful. Many manufactures dilute the Poly and Kynar with cheap fiberglass to make it stronger. Yes, the fiberglass does make it stronger, but LESS chem resistant to sodium hypochlorite !!! If I get ONE roof cleanig each out of these older Wilden pumps, they will pay for themselves. Plus, it gives me a chance to try a different pump. These older Wilden M1 pumps do not have the non stalling air valve of the newer Wildens, but they make a retrofit kit! Here is what you do, you use a quick disconnect on the air line, and IF the pump stalls, simply unhook the air, and re plug it in. This allows the air valve piston to re set. We shall SEE ????
Hey, look at this http://www.wildenpump.com/flyers/drumpump.pdf Wilden makes a drum pump kit. Slap one small 1/4 inch Wilden pump on a drum of pure sodium hypochlorite, and a larger 1/2 inch on a water tank, play with the air feeds, and presto, an Apple Vari Flow Chemical delivery System
