I run windshied fluid through all my equipment, hoses and etc. Good for 20 below!

 

I work in Delaware. Its been very cold here but gonna warm up Thurs and Fri so im going out to clean two roofs. I find Apple Cider with a bit more chlorine than normal mixed with hot water tends to work best in cold conditions. Sometimes if roof is really black you may have to coat a second time.

You guys are HARD CORE!!!!!!!!!!! It is 37 degrees in Florida and bone chilling cold. I don't know how you do. I commend you on your determination. Lori

The roof looked horrible. Yep, the cold really slows down the cleaning mix, and so does light colored shingles.
I ran out of chemical once on a gray colored shingle roof, returned with fresh chemical an hour later, and the whole roof was clean!
Lesson here - Don't leave before the miracle happens.
The colder it is, the more patience you must develop.
Coat the roof, get down, go eat, flyer the neighbors, get a haircut, etc, etc.
Do NOT keep spraying and re spraying.
Splash and Dash, come back in an hour or two, when it is real cold, and use warm or hot water for your mix.
The addition of TSP in cold weather really helps, though it is a PITA to use.
I have heard of guys with hot water pressure washers pre spraying a section of roof with WARM, not hot water first, then spraying a stronger roof cleaning mix tnen usual.
The  warm water automatically dilutes the chemical, and a warm roof cleans faster.
ALWAYS try for a sunny day guys, cloudy days that are cold too make our life tuff!

I think IF I lived in a cold climate, I would have me a hot water pressure washer, and apply WARM water to a roof, clean that way.
I live in Florida, cold weater is a very temporary thing here!
