Has anyone ever used 1" Hose for the Fatboy? I currently have 5/8" hose and just found a great deal on a whole reel of 1" hose. I don't know how heavy it will be or if you can go too big. What do you think? Thanks, Doug

I've read where someone is usuing a 1" on a fatboy. I currently use 3/4" on mine and it works great. A little heavy when you're 30' up on a ladder and the 1" would be even heavier. Depends on what most of your houses are, single story ranches or 2-3 story. Could always use it for the groundsman and let him suffer.lol What do you consider a "good deal" on this hose?
Well I think I paid .65 for my 5/8 kuri-Tec and this is 200 psi ag chemical hose from guy I know and I haven't work out a price yet, but he has no use for it and he has 500 feet. So we'll see.
lol i uses 3/4 hose and have it in 100' links and i roll up my hose by hand. i know for a fact that 100' of 3/4 hose holds 5 gal of liquid and you don't want to roll it up full of liquid. i cant imagen 1' hose, lol man you would need 15 gal's of love for 200' of hose.
Is it an more rigid ag hose or a kuri tec type hose. The 3/4" Kuri weighs 22 lbs per 100 feet DRY. Think about the back pressure on that pump that the column of water will hold. What kind of damage will occur on the roof edge if it is shingled?
Ooooh....I have the 5/8" Kuri for .58/ft for RCIA members.
Ag hose weighs a whole bunch more. It is very stiff. We recommend it for use in aggressive environments or for use on commercial work wehre it is being dragged across pavement.
The cost of fittings go up when you get to an inch and beyond.
My 2 cents!!! Give me a call tomorrow and I can let you know if it is 'really' a good price for the product.
Performance wise, the fatter the hose, the better. But I would not wish 1" ag hose on a baby raper, well actually, I would! Ag Hose is a beotch to use, Kurri Tek is great! Get the Kurri Tec, or however you spell it ?
Thanks for your 2 cents Chris. I think I will just stick to my 5/8 I got from Lori. I was just starting to get concerned because everyone keeps saying 3/4" and when I bought my set up I was told 5/8 would be fine. This guy told me I could have that spool of 1".
