I  think the hose most people use are different material than what the fittings are used for. Nice looking fitting. Thanks for the advice.

They are made for PVC pipe, I use PVC pipe for my hard plumbing.  I have seen them used for years in bathrooms on office buildings, after the copper leaves the wall.  I would like to try them if they have one with a Teflon ring inside.  I would assume they are epdm standard.
