Ok now before any of you go roflmao listen to this. My laptop (a Dell) went blank. Would not boot complete blank screen. I searched the web for answers most said video card. To find even a used one ( on this laptop the video card can be replaced not integrated in motherboard) cost was from $250 to $400 no warranty left on laptop. Then I came across a forum that gave instructions on a possible fix for the card. This is really weird they said to bake the card in the oven at 375F for 10 minutes and put the card back in after a cool down period of about an hour and it worked. I guess the solder melts a little and makes the connections that had come apart from the laptop getting hot and cold so many times over its lifetime of use. I just thought I'd put this on here as a tip for someone with this type of laptop. I guess it would work on desktop computers that have video or other cards that are not integrated on the motherboard. Hope this can help someone else too. You can do a google search for oven baked video cards and read about it.
