Hello, I am new to the business. I've done other types of cleaning but never roofs. I have read about a multitude of cleaners on the market. How do you choose which is the most effective solution? Some say chlorine or hydroxide is not safe. I want a product that will kill the algae and be easily rinsed off. Also, do you use a stain blocker after cleaning? You don't have to endorse a product, I am just trying to educate myself and pass it along to my customers. Thanks Lake
I agree, read, read and then read again. You'll be a professional before you know. This sight is full of valuable information and if you take the time to research, you will find answers to just about any question you have. If not, just ask. Everyone on this sight is here to help. I've never been affiliated with anything like it. As Tony the tiger would say "IT'S GREAT"

I know this is a really old post but........I'm new here as well and as I read the comments that follow this I see the original poster was nice and thanked you and the others then left and never returned.
I'm not meaning to start myself off bad here but this is the type of answer that makes people leave. How about a link on what to read not just a comment telling us to read?
Take this thread for example. Its a useless waste of time to read this particular thread. There is no information here at all.
I already know what will be said next and that is "Well, pay to upgrade". I would consider that but when posts like this one just say "Read, Read, Read" yet offer no help I wonder why would I want to pay if this is the type of advice we receive.
Please don't get me wrong and I would really like to get involved. It's just that I think we should be helping each other and this certainly didn't help anyone......in fact it look like OP left the room for good.
Look, no one cares if you stay or leave,...seriously,...NO one owes you a damn thing,... you are like some of the other guys that have come here in the past,..you think you should come on here and ask for help and information and when you're told to read you feel as though you're being shorted. Too bad!
As far as paying goes,..the idea of payment is to allow you to eliminate the searching and have the questions answered for you. But,..all the answers are here and on other boards if you're willing to work a little,...You'll learn more by digging arounf anyhow.

Raystown Roof Cleaning wrote: And your point is?? You most likely have no worthwhile information to offer the board,..so why would anyone care if you're here or not,..
You said the other guy quit posting because no one helped other than saying READ,READ, READ,...Who cares if he left,..and why should anyone care.
CharlesTrins,..I think I figured you out,...Considering I gave you a handful of answers, a couple specific answers to boot,..I also gave you advice on not spending money on a pre-built unit,..I also told you to get the information free from the boards and not pay for it, and simply by you highlighting this one sentence,....
And then in a PM you called me an ass,..Ha,Ha.,....
Verdict: You're one of those entitlement types.
