hey fellas thought i would share some spot test pics i completed yesterday...had an absolute ball applying the love and look forward to playing around with my mix...
i put a HUGE amount of surfactant in i still had a whole heap of run off...should i just keep putting more in until it doesnt run off??
plus im thinking im upping my warranty...atm it is 2 years but im thinking three...is 3 years suited to my local climate...HOT, HUMID and not much run...
You might want to rethink that warranty. Hot and humid the algae grows faster. I know some in Florida only guarantee for 1 year and some not at all. They will chime in soon. I am in Tennessee so I don't think our weather can compare as far as the humidity.
Those pictures are great for selling a job, as for the run off it may be you, are you using an air pump if so theres more volume ,play with the nozzles and the way you apply, and like Pat said watch your guarantee stay with a 12-24 month until you prove to yourself how long it lasts
Your always gonna have runnoff especially on a Tile Roof. Keep playing with your spray tips to reduce it but try to always have a ground person rinsing the runnoff from the roof.
I don't offer a warranty but off the record, here in Florida 3 yrs seems to be the norm unless they live near the water or around tons of trees.

what you guy reckon???
A year is all we give in Florida on Tile Roofs.
We use a ball valve with a 25 degree nozzle.
Play with nozzle size, pump pressure, etc, etc like Larry said.
SOME run off is normal on a tile roof, no worries.
Wet all plants, keep em wet when love is dripping, and be sure chemical ratio is not too strong ?
Ground work is an art, you must rinse plants off when the mix is dripping on them.
It is up to the ground man to control the roof man, because the roof man can often not SEE the run off.
The ground man must learn the magic word "STOP", until he is able to safely deal with it!!!!
Tile Roof Cleaning IS not a Race.
Take your time, especially when you are new ?
You WANT other potential customers to see you ???
And get referrals from your customers.
Kill their plants, strip their tiles of glaze/color, and crack them, and see how many referrals you GET ??
This is your first roof, so dont beat upp on yourself ?
ALL of us were new once, even me.
You ARE gonna be a success, and in a year, we can all grab a Fosters Beer, and laugh at it all.
My good friend Larry and I laugh all the time about how we USED to be, and how far we have come.
And Larry and I, and ALL of us here at RCIA are gonna drag your Aussie Self , kicking and screaming, into our world.
