Hard water stains on glass

I've gotten so much great info from all of you, I thought that I'd share something from my skill-set that could be useful.  I'm a window washer AND soon to be roof cleaner.

It has been my experience that the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water can damage/stain glass.  I can't speak of the quality of water around the country but, I can tell you that in my area (Eastern PA), the TDS is such that I will be extremely careful NOT to get water on the windows.

I have NOT done any roofs yet so, I don't know if it's realistic to think that I can avoid spraying the glass.  I've been reading like a mad-man to study this trade before I invest too much time and money.

Speaking of money; I've  got a wonderful toenail collection for sale so that I may afford to set up my "rig".  I could also be persuaded to sell my three year old... any takers?

Hey Dustin.  Window Cleaning was great in the spring but, has been "crap" for the last month and a half.  Late July and August have notoriously been slow for me though.  I gotta tell ya man; this has been a tough year.  On the "up side" however, I've been fortunate this year that my bitches be in line and thems be earnin to their potential.  I should have mentioned in my bio that I moonlight as a Pimp.

Hows window cleaning treating you this year where you live?

As a window cleaner, do you find that you "wreck" allot of clean glass as you clean roofs?  By that I just mean, can you avoid spraying glass with water while wetting the area down?  Perhaps, I'll get a few extra window cleaning jobs out of this roof cleaning gig...
