What i would do is Traffic cone off one entry and leaving one way in and out. Work that section as muc as you can. When finished traffic cone off the other door and work that half of the roof. If you can have an extra ground guy with you to make sure no overspray gets on cars or people. Also the extra guy can divert people away and if they have question that guy can answer thier questions and possibly get more work for you.

What chain restaurant is it, I do hood cleaning to so I know what kind of roof
it is. Alot of the chain restaurants have the vinyl floating roofs, which have the roof drains in the back. The best time to clean is late at night, the a/c's should have an electrical outlet on them so you can plug up the lights. Good luck on the grease around the exhaust fans if there is no grease guard.

It's a Dennys restaurant. The roof is red shingle. The kicker is, there is only one door on the entrance..i know what you mean by the double door thing but unfortunately it's only one.

Fine out win the next hood cleaning is they will be closed for 3-4 hr for cleaning
that will be your best time. No customer traffic etc?

It will be at night 1100 pm or so.

I wound not attempt to clean that roof with a lot of cars, because when they park, they park close to the building, and you will probobly be painting a few vehicles. If the chemical gets on there car it may need a new paintjob just because the car may need to be painted anyway, it may just be free paintjob for them.
Lights are better then paintjobs!

We maintain the roofs on 4 Denny's here in the Daytona area. I found that if you can get there between 3 and 5am and clean the area over the entrance and approx 10 ft either side. Usually between 1:00 and 4:00 is the best time to complete it. We use orange cones fanned out from the entrance with caution tape to funnel customers in and have a grounds person standing guard to make sure no one parks close as well as to alert customers. You
