Average house, on average.............looking for just spray time.  Please do not include the setup and tear down of your job.  I just got a new fatboy and I am convinced it would take me roughly 15 minutes to spray the roof.

Thank you very much,
Brad

Set up and tear down are the most important and time consuming parts of the job.

My average house take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours total. I am so anal about the set up and initial wet down that I take a long time to get started, but I have not had any accidents to date (knocking on wood right now!)

The actual spraying takes about 30 to 40 minutes for me.

Amen on that never get a head of your ground guy, let him stay ahead of you when your spraying. I usually have my ground guy start rinsing down everything 15 to 20 mins before I even start just because I usually catch up with him because I use the air pump or a fat boy so it only takes about 15 to 20 mins to spray an average two story home, let dwell than repeat where needed for what did not come off the first time.

Totally, the ground man is actually the one running the job. He/She can see a lot better were your over spray and trouble spots are. I wait also to have them check gutter bags if there is a lot of runoff.

Vinny--It really sucks to go back, I guess you have had too, just like me and probably most others here as well. It is an embarrassing and time consuming waste to have to go back and clean it again!

I would say 1/2hr-45 minutes for these "average roofs" (rancher?), but then I don't have an average house I do, there are so many different kinds around here. If you can spray it in 15 minutes, it is either really small or you are getting love everywhere. Also if you sprayed my roof in 15 minutes then asked me for a few hundred dollars, or really any money as my plants died, I would not be real happy about it.  That's not an insult, just something else to consider as you get it all set up.

Thanks Bill,

I thought of the same thing. I plan on taking my time with the preperation of the job and tear down. I dont want the customer giving me hundreds of dollars for 15 minutes of work. That would be a little embarrising to me.

Have a great weekend,
Brad

confuse Yes Bill ,had to go back once but i felt it was because it didn't rain for awhile but i redid two areas anyway i would rather spray a little extra not causing more run off than go back , and when a customer says "your done already " I tell them you can dig a hole with a shovel or you can you use a backhoe we use the backhoe

I just had one of those last month Vinny.  It didn't rain for weeks, went back treated and rinsed, looked great- though I had 2 hrs of windshield time and out 20 gals of mix.

We are slow and cautious (I have no intentions of telling my wife we just bought someone's roof or inherited some dead plants) average house takes 2-3 hrs depending on the position, location and landscaping of the house.  For some reason, I've been getting a ton of large tile jobs and those take me a bit longer.

Average 1hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes for roof only. Throw in the gutters, and we're looking at another 45 minutes. We do not rinse, so we save alot of time that way. But, I've met a few roofs that took 2-3 hours to finish, and one last year took me almost 4 hours! The stains wouldn't budge.

I did one today that took 4 hrs. Granted it wasn't very average, this was only my second roof and amen on the ground guy. This was his first "live" roof cleaning so I think he is still get the hang of things and for that matter so am I.

The time that it takes to clean a roof depends on many factors. Single story or Two story, Hips and valleys, walkable or non walkable. A single story A-frame from start to finish( roll out and wrap up) 1hr to 1hr15min. I ve personally done some big roofs 5500sq ft to 7500 sq ft that have taken 3-4hrs.

Every job is different and every job has different variables. The more you do the easier it gets and soon you can just look at the job and tell how long it will take.

Hope this helps.

The FatBoy is the newest 12v pump from Delavan that is used for roof cleaning.

Cleaned a 1/2 roof today. 2900sq.ft. should have taken 45min-1hr. I use the fatboy and gun that came with it. the fitting on the bottom of gun began to leak. I tried water hose washers, o rings and teflon tape. lost alot of time and was soaked with love. Bought a new fitting. Fixed the problem. I now have extra fittings and will have spare gun soon.
