I cleaned a customers roof the other day and she made a suggestion about our logo and top banner.

She has many years experience in marketing and I think I agree with her about the logo being too large making the website difficult to navigate because of the extra time it takes to load on the screen and having to scroll down more.

Here is a new RCIA banner I have designed.

Let me know what you guys think.

Would you like to see this replace our current banner at the top of the website?

Keep in mind this image is 700 x 140 pixels.  The new final banner will be larger and cover most of the screen. 

I think 1000 x 200 pixels will fit the best, if this new banner will be voted for replacing the old one.

I like the one we currently have. Looks very professional. Possibly you could downsize it.

I didn't change the logo, just the size.  The logo we have now is too large in my opinion.

How about this one. I reversed the background curve on the right side.

The curve kind of goes with the curve of the flag on the logo and the arch of the roof.

Look better?

The first one Mike. It is eye catching and the way you integrated the RCIA logo on the left makes it look like a flag. Very very nice. Great idea your customer had, i agree with her. This new one looks much more professional.smile

Thanks guys. I will leave this thread up for more votes.

Hopefully Dave can get a password soon so he can change our current banner to the new one after we get more votes.

He e-mailed to me the other day that only Chris has the power to make such changes.

I would use the smaller banner. It will allow quicker access and eliminate some effort to get down to the information posted.
