Fatboy bandit complete setup or 5800 complete setup?

The Bandit will be better and poly braided hose sucks. Building your own will result in the best rig, but buyng a kit is not a terrible thing, just not as customizable. The info is here to support this, please just take your time on your decision and read as much as you can through the search.

I had my mind set up on the lesser of the two kits, however, the more I look at the Bandit and consider the cost of everything (like the hose reel and better hose) I think the Bandit wins hands down.

No, buy the pump only.

Read the 12V Delavan FATBOY 7gpm pump thread at the top of the roof cleaning pumps section.

The hoses, nozzles, guns are undersized on the kits and will cause your pump to fry and fail quickly from excess amperage draw.

The guys that sell kits are not experienced roof cleaners, they are salesmen.

I cant stop thinking about that bandit. Please keep in mind that I plan on doing this on the weekend only for now and about 2-3 house per weekend.

I am looking for really a turnkey kind of unit.

does that change anyones opinion?

Save the extra money you'll have to pay for a kit for marketing.

$1571.95 is a big markup.

You can buy 200 feet of 3/4" Kuritec hose, stainless titan hose reel, wire, battery, switch, plumb it yourself, and save about $500.

Seriously, you can do it. It's not hard.

You'll eventually have to learn how to wire & plumb it anyway after your pump relay switch fries or your pump dies from using small hose, guns, and nozzles.

Not to mention the performance will be cut in half from using the kit.

You will only be able to shoot 2.5gpms compared to 5gpms (done right) and the kit only shoots 25 feet compared to 35 feet (done right)

You'll be twice as fast and get twice the amount of work done by putting it together yourself.

Why settle for less. Get your money's worth and then some. Longevity and performance.

This is not an opinion or a debate or discussing ones feelings, it's about saving you money, making more money in a shorter period of time, saving you heartache (less murphy's law), time, and potentially your life (because you might have to force yourself on a steep roof, risking your life, that can be easily cleaned from the top of your ladder because your pump won't shoot far enough since it was not installed to the maximum of it's capabilities)

I seen on your other posts that you prefer the 5800 to the Fatboy. If I am cleaning roofs 2-3/week, how long you figure it should last? I know me, I will buy at least 1 extra for safety sake.

I use both. The bare minimum roof cleaning rig for those on a tight budget I recommend the 5850 pump. Saves you $100. The FATBOY is considerably stronger, more flow and distance.

How long it last depends on how you install it. Mine last about a year.
