Consumer Reports Not All Advice Good Advice

Did anyone happen to read the report on home repairs in the  June issue of Consumer Reports.
on Page 33, these self made experts give bad advice on roof cleaning.  They advise the homeowner to 1st. mix a 3 to 1 solution of bleach.  apply it to roof ( no directions there on how to apply).  Then scrub it in with a brush, and in their words gently rinse with water.  no I wonder If they tried this. And I wonder if the shingle manufacurers who they rate in this same issue concur with their method.

Oh, They do get the pressure washing part right.

Hmm, I generally value Consumer Reports but I did not see that issue. So called Home Experts have been blasting the radio lately about 'Spray & Forget" ... doubt they ever used that either.
