Obviously the larger sign is going to be easier to read your web site and description line, but what is the difference in price?
18"x24" signs are the norm around me and you can usually always read what is on them. A 24"x36" is going to stand out even better. Bigger letters that people can read driving at a faster speed.
Do you currently have any that size? (24"x36")
When I was ordering mine, I made a rough draft out of poster board and markers just so I could see how big it really was and if you could see it clearly driving down the road. I had someone offering a crazy low price on a 12"x18" sign that was double sided. I had no intention of getting anything that small, but I had to look into it with the price they were offering. After making the rough draft, I decided it would be a waste of money even if it was rediculously cheap.
You are fortunate that you don't have to put an area code in your signs. In PA we have more area codes than I can count and you have to dial an area code to call anywhere in PA even if it is in your same area code. It really cuts down on the size that you can make your phone number. That SUCKS for me!

Mike, I forgot to ask. Who is doing the signs for you? What kind of pricing did you get? I'm about ready to order some new signs with updated info and I was looking at the place Dave had recommended, but I also want to use a color scheme similar to yours and that makes those signs a lot more expensive. I'm also thinking about the larger size if it is not too much.
Thanks.
Brian

Price depends on the quantity you order, size, etc.
Go to their website and check it out.
They have an incredible program that is really easy to use so you can build it yourself and get it exactly how you like it. I've been on this thing since Saturday.
I keep thinking I'm done with it, but I keep going back to it and tweak it a little more and make changes. I can't even count how many times I've changed it.
Here's another change. I added some shadowing and bullets. THIS IS THE ONE!!
FINAL REVISION - Signs are on order! I can't wait!

mike be careful with that blue. i just had some signs made by fast signs and the blue was just like yours. when i picked then up to day the blue was about 2 shades lighter. i really did'ent care because they still looked good.. i would call and make sure that the blue is the same on your computer as to your signs...
I have noticed over the years making signs if you put too much on there it becomes illegible from a distance. I have made four different signs since I started.
This might be easier for your potential customers to read as they are driving by.
Add your cool shadowing, red and black outline on your font.
I think italic font is harder to read from a distance.
Your website is also extremely important and should be on your sign also.
It is the second most important thing besides your phone number.

mike ,that is the same blue i was talking about in my recent post to you.i wanted the same blue and when i ordered it, it came back 2 shades lighter. i will be surprised if your sign comp can give you that same color. i went to fast-signs, it took about 1 week. keep me posted...oh, i got a log cabin job and i got a few p/w questions. i will give you a call this week some time.
I used the company that Dave from Roof Clean USA had posted the special about. I had to use the colors that were part of the special, but the price was exactly what they advertised.
I wasn't thrilled that I couldn't use my regular color scheme, but I got a good price on the signs. I also decided to upgrade to two colors on both sides. I ordered them this past Wednesday and they arrived Friday! Two days is incredible turn around.
I agree with mike on being simple with the signs. Less is more. Too much stuff gets lost when people are driving down the road. Mine are nothing special. They have my company name, phone number, web site and a catch phrase at the top.
