To the NEW Guys, please be respectful of the Roof Cleaning Veterans Time

Hello, Once again welcome.

Please ---Read the rules and regs of this forum.

We, The RCIA , are out there so folks like yourself can find our info.

But, the info you seek is ALL already said and written here.

If you want, I can tutor you but I charge for this privilege.

Instead, for right now, save some money and you can read, alot. :)

I will speak to you later on after you have been on the board awhile.

Not to be rude or holier than thou but I get 20-30 requests a week or more to call and spend time on the phone. This is time I do not have.

If I am not out cleaning roofs or estimating or finding new ad placement then I am "sinking , not swimming"

Read all the areas of the board starting with the RCIA Membership and RCIA mission statement and then move on to CERTIFICATION and the other sections of the board.

After you have some posts and a little time under your belt I and others will spend some time giving you more one on one.

Here on the RCIA it is a give and a take not just one sided.

We all win together. But, there are not any free lunches anymore.

Please don't take offense. This is not directed at just you but all of the veteran members work to earn a living so all the new members please kindly respect our off time and if we call you great, if not - don't take offense.

We all have families and other things we like to make time for besides cleaning roofs, (although I live , eat, breathe, think and dream roof cleaning most of the time) not all are like me so please respect and be tactful and appreciative our time and personal lives.

Treat us like you would want to be treated if you were in the world spotlight.

Thanks for your understanding.

David

Well said...

I am a newbie. I don't have a rig and up until about a month ago I knew absolutely nothing about roof cleaning. However, almost every night after I put my kids to bed I'm on the forum reading and searching for information that I am seeking. There has only been a few topics that I haven't been able to find through the search feature that I have created a new thread on. I own my own business and I can see how it would be frustrating if every other call was not a potential customer. I don't know about most of you, but when my phone rings I'm hoping it's someone interested in my service.

I have read massive amounts of information from this forum that answered so many questions that I had when I first started thinking about getting into the business. (Having said that, I would like to thank all that have freely given all the knowledge that is on here.) I have not called one roof cleaner, it's all here and if it's not, post a thread. Others currently reading might have the same question.

Dustin

 Hey Vinny,

That's funny. How are things going for you?
Hope you are doing well. Take care.
