I chose not to upgrade to 8.0 because when I upgraded to 7.0 when it first came out, I had the exact same problems. Some sites seemed to cause it to lock up every time I got on them. Quite a few sites did not support something in the "new 7.0" and they were sites that I used all day every day at my full time job. I had to uninstall 7.0 and could not reinstall it for about 6 months. That is how long it took for all of my necessary web sites to support all of the new microsoft software they were using.
