Brad, To Answer your questions.

Yes . You can clean most vinyl and aluminum siding with Apple Sauce or cider mix.

I would DILUTE the mix much further for much more even, consistant and safer application.

BUT, and here is the big question, but...you aren't going to clean the siding immediately, then keep overspray of painted or vinyl clad areas of the home to a minimum.

Whenever possibe, clean the roof FIRST and then perform the house wash. 

Why?

Sometimes you may get over spray and not rinse it until much later, especially since you figure, " What the hay, I am going to do a house wash ANYWAY"

Here is the problem, on some substrate surfaces, stronger mixes of Cider, Sauce or HYbrid Cider Sauce mix may lighten the splattered areas more than the areas that have been treated but have had LESS dwell time.


SH along with TSP and surfactant and H20 makes a great house wash mix if the mix is not too HOT (STRONG) and if your dwell time is appropriate.

Bottom line is you can use leftover roof cleaner and downstream the diluted LOVE onto certain exteriors and then you have solved a two fold problem, which is, what to do with leftover chemical at the end of the day if you tend to overmix, and also, how to keep chemical costs down and use your on hand cleaning products in a more versatile way.

Always TEST clean a small barely or unnoticable area with any cleaning agent you choose to use to clean exteriors with.

There are other products out that do a very good job of House washing like Envirospecs line of house washes and protectants.

But , for economy and decent performance, you can, depending on the roof and situation at hand, use the LOVE and bring back the curb appeal and homeowner appreciation affordably but always do your compatibility test, just to be safe .

Yes, Dustin.

If you are NOT going to be performing a house wash, ALWAYS rinse the siding or ANY areas with LOVE applied to it where you are not intending to clean.

If left on it can LIGHTEN or permently spot those areas or surfaces you may have over sprayed.

Better safe than sorry.

Always either tarp, water and protect window glass from etching.

TSP can and most likely will etch windows if this cleaning agent is left on glass surfaces.

It is better to water/rinse ALL areas not getting cleaned but that may come into contact with the SH (LOVE) mix.

Always test (in a safe and sensible way) any area you intend to clean to see if it can handle the chemical being applied.
