So what do you do when it's too cold in the morning to work but you wanna' get moving?
YOU GO FISHING ALONG THE WAY!!!

One of the many things I love about Central, PA is it's abundant fishing opportunitys. Almost anywhere I go there is a stream or river to stop and spend a little quality time!!

Caught this one and three others this morning in the Juniata River and it was right along the way.

Jeff

Nice fish, Jeff!

Is that a small mouth bass? I can't entirely tell by the picture.

By the way, I love to fish too!

Hey, we have something MORE than just roofs to talk about?!

Here, along the state line of Georgia-Florida we have lots of ponds and lakes with lots of Large and Small mouth bass and a variety of perch and other fish varieties along with the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico nearby.

Your picture reminds me that I MISS FISHING!

I sold my bass boat last year unfortunately and have not had time to even get out my rod and reel since confuse.

You and Chuck Bergman (he posted a recent fishing trip also) have been inspiring me to get out my tackle box and fishing pole and make some downtime to chill out and catch some fish.

You have made it a daily reminder that work is not as fun as fishing biggrin

Thanks, Jeff!

Yes Dave that is a smallmouth. Wasn't real big (13-15 inches) but it made the morning for me. Better than standing around waiting for the weather to warm up. I just keep an ultralight outfit and a small tackle kit in my work van,...you know,...in case of an emergency, Ha, Ha!!!!

Nice Catch at 13-15 inches!

Was it Fry Pan or Catch and Release?

That's cool Jeff, so if I get this right....you keep a ULTRA LIGHT Hang glider in the van and when the URGE strikes and its to cold to clean roofs you break out the ultra light HANG GLIDER and your fishing pole and "Air Fish"?

Now that's a new twist on getting to" them, there, secret fishin' holes " that I would like to try".

LOL biggrinconfusedisbeliefsmile

Catch and release Dave.
So easy just to pull over and cast for an hour or two.

Jeff

Not a bad idea for a way to kill time between jobs.

Just remember the world record small mouth was caught in Tennessee 55 years ago.

Former world record blue catfish 112 lbs was caught in 1996 or 8 I can't remember right here in Clarksville, TN.

Nice Chris,...always like looking at fish pictures!!!

I do know that Pat!! Wasn't it like 13 lbs. or something? Some of the local guys pull some dandy's out of Raystown Lake,..but I just prefer the river. I think the Pa record is 8 lbs. or something.

Jeff

No sturgeon here Chris....We got Carp though,...they have the same mouth I think!!

Nothing like a warm Spring morning and a can of corn and a muddy bank side and a little kid to
show the delicate art of Carp fishing!!

Just looking at those kings makes me want to break out the smoker!hungry.gif

Just started restocking lake sturgeon in Tennessee. Be a long time until you can catch and eat one though. Illegal and endangered here.

Used to catch them in the Cowlitz and Columbia Rivers in WA state. After Halibut sturgeon is my favorite fish.

Yes but there are different types of sturgeon and thus different grades.
