I say it looks like more retards that think they know it all.

There are already lots of these kind of articles out there and yes it hurts a little but not enough to wave of the ARMA technical bulletin. This is a typicall homeowner that dosn;t even think to use ANY KIND OF SOAP when cleaning. The people that try this after reading this and similar articles are just as retarded. Retarded as in you are stunting your growth in learning living and having an open mind. These methods are retained for the people out there that will never hire a contractor even thought they flooded there basement trying to do some plumming, dug their own foundation (that leaks) and probably even put the roof on themselves (that already leaks)

HOMEOWNER YOU REALLY CAN DO IT ALL YOURSELF, BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE IT CHEAPER OR FREE. IT CAN COST YOU YOUR ROOF YOUR EQUIPMENT BREAKING OR NEEDING UPGRADED, IT CAN COST YOU YOUR LIFE.

There are no guarentees when you do it yourself

This idiot from the post voided his warrenty when he did this and never did the research to discover that. No wonder print news journalism is dying out.

I think it is more of a danger to the homeowner and their roof than to us.

Just another site with improper roof cleaning methods! Trying to sell his line of products. Needs to stick to journalism and leave the roof cleaning to the PRO'S.

I can guarantee if he used all 2500 psi, he definitely did damage to that roof. I hope anybody that reads that does not take that advice.

What kills me about this guy, is if you look in the gutters you have a 1/2" of granules from just RAINFALL! What does he think 2500psi is going to do?

Scott that is a common sense way to look at it. The reality is that most people just arent going to think that if rain washes away granules what will a pressure washer do.

I posted in another thread about a homeowner washing his own roof with a pump up sprayer and some chemical from lowes. He has At least a 9/12. I saw him with a small rope ran over the peak of his roof and tied to a tree in his back yard holding him on the roof. He is now finally finished. It took him 1 1/2 months to do.

I dont know what value you can put on falling and breaking your neck. Personally I have walked a ton of roofs and I wouldnt have done that. Falling never hurts.....Its just that landing part! Who knows maybe he will let me clean it next year when it comes back.

Some folks thought process mystifies me!?!?!?

Do you believe anything this nuckle head says about roof cleaning and not hurting your shingles using a pressure cleaner... Don't answer that! Well to your self...

I know my answer! I am not ashamed to say it either......

Yeah! I think it is just a little mis leading.  LOL  DUUUU

He doesn't know what he is talking about! He is either going to get someone killed crawling around on a wet roof with a pressure cleaner or end up getting a law suit for providing bad info and ruining someones roof!

He hasn't got a clue and is just guessing. Do you really want this guy anywhere around your roof or your home as a matter of fact?

What do you think???

True True Chris. We need to be respectfull, even if we don't like someone. That's really just business. Unfortunettly I have met alot of people who "just guess" and they usually bury themselves eventually, in a sea of cunfusing lies that they don't even understand. Smarter homeowners will call a pro just from seeing this. They will fear the risks and realize it is dangerous. Others will do what they were going to do regardless. They would have found this info somewere else.

I guess that is why they call it the Washington ComPost! Another fine example of why newspapers are going away. Lazy reporting. No research.
