IF you have a pump of any kind made out of Polyproplyne - Read this.
My polypropylene pump is installed outside and has started cracking, what is the problem?
ANSWER:Polypropylene is not resistant to UV rays. Also, polypropylene is limited to use in temperatures over 32°F. For this type of application it is best to use a PVDF model, a metal model or shroud and insulate your polypropylene model.
Painting them white would probably be the easiest most effective method for anyone actually interested in UV protection. Other than that a simple canopy of some sort,...but the white paint would stop the UV rays and not take up any more space.

Coppertone to the rescue
An old Farmers trick for tractor hoses and other poly and rubber and plastic parts.
Armor-All or Vinyl and Commercial Grade Automotive Detail Poly Protectant works well.
Apply regularly and liberally.
Plenty of UV blockers in these products to lubricate andf protect the poly fairly well. (Up to SPF #30)
This is Cheap insurance and inexpensive "Pump Sun Block"
We also use a local sheet metal shop and have them bend a custom Aluminum TREADPLATE shroud to cover pumps in BOTH Kynar and Poly.
The Reason for covering Kynar is not of for UV protection but for the fact that Kynar is a great chemical resistant material but is brittle and requires minimal force to shear or break off key components that are expensive.
So, in order to avoid breaking parts by tripping over exposed pumps or having inexperienced cleaning crews setting items such as ladders, hoses, buckets and other possible equipemtn that could accidently catch on a fitting or snap off an inlet or outlet we protect them with a metal removable treadplate box.
I like the idea of Armor-all on my Roof Cleaning Pump. I'm gonna give that a try David. Good advice. Heck,, it helps to keep dashboards from cracking. Why not a Roof Cleaning pump!
