My son came down from Georgia and I took him [my bad] to Lake Okeechobee. Okeechobee "used to be" great fishing. We fished 6 1/2 hours [and we are both [can I brag?] Expert bass fishermen] Neither of us caught a single bass! I asked the next day, at Roland Martin's Bass shop and they said it was no good there. They sent us about 70 miles south to a canal and it was F~A~N~T~A~S~T~I~C!!!! We caught probably 75-100 bass each, plus 1 Pea**** bass and a bunch of Oscars and Ciclids in the 1 - 1/2 lb class! the largemouth bass ran generally 1 1/2 lbs, but I got 2 at 3 1/2 lbs and my son got a 5 pounder! It was the single best bass fishing day of my life! Now, I go back to work Here's a few pictures-
Thanks for your interest! It was no doubt, the number 1 bass fishing day of my life and I got to spend some quality time with one of my sons. I had 5 kids!
