Here is a link I found to Yamada pumps in Poly and in Kynar.
This link shows these pumps well and has a clear picture for review for anyone looking at the purchase of an Air Double Diaphragm Pump to use for applying roof cleaning chemical using an air compressor.
These 1/4" pumps are small pumps but at 3.4 GPM and in Kynar, they are almost "wear out proof" and with plenty of distributers of user replaceable wear items, these pumps make excellent Chlorine transfer pumps to move SHC into your bulk tank(s) on a Flatbed truck or a trailer.
These actually can even be used as roof cleaning business startup pumps because with a small air compressor, even a small 4-6 gallon electric pancake type compressor, they still provide enough chemical to the roof to clean average size homes fairly quickly. Though you WILL want to upgrade to a larger pump and air compressor like the NDP-15 in Kynar or Poly, this pump could be the perfect little start up pump for a fledgling roof cleaning business.
Just use max size hose for the most flow that you can afford, such as 1/2" or 5/8" or even 3/4" to reduce friction loss.
These are handy little pumps, especially when purchased at the right price.
Need to know. If I have a pump rated at 1.8 GPM 60 psi 3/8" inlet, outlet and a gun rated at 15 GPM 250psi 3/8" fitting, adjustable spray nozzle capable of 40' range, are they going to work together ? Do not know nozzle size yet, have not gotten reply. Both products are from Northern Tool Co. Shurflo pump 12V 1.8 gpm 60psi. Valley Industrial flash turbo gun 15 gpm 250 psi model #SG2200. Trying to keep cost to a minimum to start out and see if business booms.
Roger, is your Shurflo pump brand new? If so take it back and get a 12V Delavan.
The Delavans are far superior pumps. I cringe at the thought of a RCIA roof cleaner using this kind of Shurflo pump.
They are painfully slow, do not draw chemical well, and will not adequately shoot far enough to allow you avoid climbing up a roof and staying on your ladder.
The Slowflo oops Shurflo is out !! Have not bought it yet and will not buy anything until I have the approval of the PRO'S. Was checking out Pressure tec web site and they have the whole kit, Delavan 5800, hose ,gun wand, barbs fittings, etc. Sounds like everything but tank and batteries which I have. Was reading a past post of the same kit, but it had a Delevan 5850. Did not see it on pressure tec site. Price of kit is $339.00. Will this get a rookie running or am I still banging my head against a wall ??? I haven't read or written this much since school. This site is second to none!! Learned more in the last 2 weeks than I thought this thick skull could hold. Still freezing our butts off way up here up Nort. Might be time to relocate
Mike, I saw your post right after I submitted mine. I will continue to read and search. Things are coming together, think I'm just getting in to big of a hurry. Want to get it right and know I will with everyones help. Thanks again.

Hi Roger,
I am writing this to you and to speak directly to other NEW roof cleaners as well.
I have noticed your posts and your struggles.
Yes, putting together a relaible chemical delivery system is tough for a first timer.
All the ratios, chemicals and compatibility issues, friction loss, volume ratios, suction lift and flow rates of hose, pumps and spray tips are enough technical jargon to "drive a sober man to drinkin'...
Well, I wish there were a simpler solution but, frankly, the biggest problem with building a roof cleaning system that is going to work for a new roof cleaner is that, there is no "right" answer.
Many times it comes down to preference and familiarity and NOT that the person or company giving away free advice has ever even actually used the equipment for our specific application.
Just like religion there are MANY paths, to the SOURCE.
And like RELIGION, everyone has "THEIR" RIGHT path and method and a handout to catch your donations or purchases for additional info.
Here at the RCIA, we are not getting a dime from advertisers and so we can offer unbiased opinions based on actual field use and function.
Some equipment MAY work better than others for the same purpose which is getting roof cleaning chemical, SAFELY and easily onto the surface of the roofs you want to clean and get paid for.
Others claim to do this but fall short and cause new roof cleaners MANY countless headaches due largely to being great salesmen but poor roof cleaning equipment builders.
Its just a aggravating process of wading thru the B.S. and the conjecture and the speculation to find what will work for you and your BUDGET.
Personally, I am glad you have been reading till you feel like your brain is going to bust as TRUTHFULLY, that is what many of us who have been in this business for years have done quietly and patiently in spite of countless obstacles that have been placed in our path over the years.
Sorting thru the MIS-INFORMATION is the KEY.
Finding the RCIA is the HOLY GRAIL for many new and upcoming Roof Cleaners from around the country and the World.
Luckily, for ALL of you that are JUST NOW starting out in this business, the market is WIDE open and ready for HARVEST with much of the aggravating groundwork of the PAST already having been done by the "Forefathers" of this cleaning industry and NOW more than ever before, there is MORE equipment and knowledge available on the subject of Safe Non-Pressure Roof Cleaning than in recorded history.
I say all of that to say this.
Even though you are struggling now and you feel its tough just to get your head around these concepts, believe me when I tell you that it will serve you MUCH better, to struggle a bit and LEARN, over time and thru experience and practice, than to be "SPOON FED" all the knowledge, that other roof cleaners have invested YEARS to aquire.
The EASY way is not always the BEST Way...
Yes, Knowledge is power, BUT, the reasonable and patient attainment of that knowledge through properly educating yourself, asking the RIGHT questions, mining the wisdom contained in DETAILED in depth reading and specific STUDY in this market niche' will allow you to retain the important crutial roof cleaning Knowledge and learning experiences you will NEED to function, independently, as a REAL WORLD Professional Roof Cleaning Contractor.
This IS essential to being a SAFE, Knowledgeable, Well Rounded, Roof Cleaning Professional.
An ancient CHINESE proverb states:
"The Journey of a THOUSAND miles Begins with the FIRST STEP"
Respectfully,

Roger, what Dave and Mike say is based on years of experience, and real world roof cleaning tests.
Yes, a truck with a 3.08 axel ratio will "pull a trailer", but not as well as one with a 3.55 or 3.91 rear axel. Do it RIGHT from the git go. 1/2 inch hose will "work", but not as good as 5/8 or even 3/4. STICK to your guns, and INSIST on the larger hose.
