When a hose says working pressure 250psi and you shut the valve off the pressure can build some, would that hose burst if the pressure went beyond? Or does working pressure mean 250 and thats it?
I am using a gas pump. So there is a bypass line. I hooked a garden hose up for a minute to test different sizes and see what worked best, and almost burst the line right quick. Currently I am using 3/8ID ag hose, but switching for more flow. I am not shooting HI SH but rather a zinc compound. I can run 3 lines of 5/8 ID hose If I wanted. But just running one I am getting 10gpm.
Working pressure and burst pressure are two different ratings. With a bypass, hooked up you should be ok I would think. I have seen garden hose swell up to like twice it's normal diameter though, especially on a hot Summer day. Can make you nervous!!
Is the kuri tec 5/8 red hose rated at 250 and is that burst or working pressure for $170 for 300ft? Bob at pressuretek can get me 300' of clear braided poly 5/8 for $240.

We find Red Kurri Tec Hose better then clear polybraid. Softer, much easier to work with, longer lasting. Cheaper too
