Now thats what I'm talking about!!! Great Job on that Shingle Roof Cleaning Mitch. Those will make some fantastic before and after Roof Cleaning pics. Keep up the great work. 2 Thumbs up!
Thanks! The best thing was I didn't have to strap into a harness and walk the roof like I used to. Now I just hav to reconfigure my van by adding a a larger chemical pump for roof work.
Thanks.... Will post more pics. I've done a few roofs in the last couple weeks... just thought these were the best of the bunch.

Cleaning Roofs this way makes life a whole lot easier doesn't it? I'm glad it's working out for you.
I just checked out your web site. You've got some really great before and after Shingle and Tile Roof Cleaning pictures on there. I was very impressed. Looks real good!
I used SHC, TSP & Ajax. I used less SHC than had been recommended on here for me and didn'y use any Alcohol, but kept everything else as suggested.
I'm still going to need to play with it a bit to get it dialed in the way I want it... but it came out really nice. I'm def happy and so is my customer. Big things were... was just rinsed away and I only had to re-apply in a couple small sections running the peak. I didn't even have to rinse thoise on the re-apply... but I did anyway... XD

Welcome Mitch! We are working on a new, SH Stable Surfactant/Thickener that will probably render our old way of roof cleaning obsolete ?
Plus, we are investigating a SH Catalyst that will make cold weather roof cleaning much better.
I used 7 gallons SHC, 5lbs TSP (ours is "P" Free...ie: The substitute) and about a half bottle Ajax from the dollar store... mixed into a 30 gallon drum of heated water. I believe the temp was bout 68-70.

Nice roof cleaning work !
Will be interested in what you'll come up with and Thanks...

That is a light mix for sure. Thats like 3% I believe. The heated water idea was brought to my attention by Mike Sullivan here the other day. I think that must have been the difference there. 3% is light, how many applications and/or total gallons did you end up using?

Might be light (???...) but it worked good. I ended up using 30 gallons gallons total. Like I said, I had to re-apply along the peak to get some some of the harder streaking to come clean (Possibly just didn't soak it well or long enough the first time). I did add maybe a half gal of SHC to what was left in the chemical drum before the re-application (maybe 5 gal), but that's what I mean. I will have to play some to find the mix that works best for me.
You can see the areas I had to re-apply to in this pic.
I get my SHC from a comapany called AMATO Industries. They say it's at least 15% and not more than 20%. I haven't tested it, I just know it works real good! XD
