how does a variable flow system work? would you plumb your h2o, tsp tank with a 3/4 valve and shc with 1/4 through a T to your pump. I like to experiment but I don't want to waste time if someone else has a better way. also my chemical rep tried to sell me a eco friendly liquid tsp alternative and I was wondering if anyone had tried it yet.

Im pretty sure that the eco friendly liquid TSP is minus the P. I could be wrong but I checked on it a few years ago and I think that it had a phosphate alternative in it that would make it less effective. Im sure someone will let you know if Im wrong.

I know I think way to much but , at what pressure and how many gallons per minute does the customers water come out the tap. the reason I ask is if injected at the right ratio you could show up to the job with a 25 gallon tank of shc hook their water flow to a T that hooks to your pump and tank an do the job. if something like that is possible you could reduce the size of your rig. just thinking out loud

Chris can tell you how to set up the vari-flow system.  I think he tried it once with ok results.  I think he said he used 1/2" pinch valves and drew from the top of the tanks.  Or you can do it without pinch valves and just dilute your bleach tank slightly to get the ratio down to 35-40% when both hoses are drawing from both tanks.

The TSP alternative is a sodium metasilicate based product with a ph of 13 and is more corrosive than TSP(ph 12) and I would not recommend it for roofs.  The higher the ph the more alkaline or basic.  (lye) or sodium hydroxide has a ph of 14 being the most corrosive and damaging to asphalt shingles.

Works great for house washing and paint preparation though.

The reason TSP is illegal for everyone to buy is because it's a fertilizer and if everyone uses it like back in the old days, the lake and resiviors will be overrun with algae and growth.

Tri sodium phosphate is not bad for the environment as long as the whole entire population doesn't use it.  In small quantities like for just exterior cleaning companies it's ok.

I like to fill up at my house, so when I get to the job I'm ready to spray.  You will need the customers water outlet for your ground man to spray off plants and windows from the overspray roof mix.

I have been thinking if I take a hose y with shut offs and restrict the shc flow on one side I could possibly get my mix just right. I am going to test it with koolaid and water.
